Tom Scholz has stated in a number of interviews that he was very upset and disappointed with the mixing and mastering of this vinyl.The CD he was satisfied with, but the separate mastering for vinyl was a failure in his opinion.He was busy on tour with Boston, and so left the vinyl mastering up to someone else, without supervising, or participating at all, which is very unlike him, as he is always very involved in the entire process of recording his Boston albums.After finally listening to the finished vinyl, he felt the mastering was off on a number of levels. His intent was to prevent it's release, even in the limited 1000 copy run, but found out it was either too late, or already shipped, I believe.I have not heard the record yet, but because of the creator's opinion I've not wanted to take the chance on buying a copy. I hope Tom himself feels compelled to try his own hand at a master, as he is very capable, and I'm sure the album would sound great.
